Dear New Street UMC Family & Friends,
This year has certainly been a roller coaster ride. The Re-Entry Team have diligently worked on keeping the congregation safe and healthy during the re-opening and continued IN-PERSON worship services.
We recently realized we need to have protocol for the closing of IN-PERSON worship should the need arise. We have been using the WV Department of Education COVID19 map which shows when the county’s COVID19 positivity rate and infection rate is high or low. When Jefferson County is RED, we will be closing our in-person worship service. RED signifies the high rate of COVID19.
This week Jefferson County went RED, therefore we will be canceling the IN-PERSON Christmas Eve Service and the IN-PERSON December 27 Worship Service.
We had already planned to suspend IN-PERSON Worship Services for January 3, 17 and 31. Unless Jefferson County is RED on January 10 and 24 we will have IN-PERSON Worship Service. Please watch your email or go to the New Street UMC Facebook page for updated closings.
We will continue our ONLINE Worship Services. The Christmas Eve ONLINE Service will premiere at 10 a.m. on December 24, 2020 and Sunday morning ONLINE services premiere at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and many blessings in the New Year.
