Read the Bible in 90 Days – Week 8

Reading Tips

  • If you are having a hard time following along in the Book of Isaiah, don’t feel bad. This is because of the collection of numerous visions and prophesies relating to various times.  Other challenges are posed because the language and ways of the prophets and visionaries may be unfamiliar to us as well as the uncertainty of how the material in Isaiah was assembled (chronologically, topically, etc.).
  • In the Book of Jeremiah, we find that he is a reluctant prophet, AKA weeping prophet. God challenges him to tell the people of Judah that God will allow their capture by Nebuchadnezzar, followed by their exile to Babylon. Jeremiah’s book also point to the coming Christ.
