Read the Bible in 90 Days – Week 13

Read the Bible in 90 Days – Week 13

Reading Tips

  • Philemon – In this letter, Paul asked his friend to free his slave Onesimus and charge anything the slave owes to Paul.
  • Hebrews – The author of this letter is unknown. Using the backdrop of the Old Testament, Christ is explained
  • James – is the half brother of Jesus. His message is to submit to God with humility.  In this call to action, James asserts that “a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.”
  • 1 Peter – The apostle Peter writes on being holy by submitting to others and living for God. 2 Peter – He reminds Christians that he writes as a witness of Christ’s life. He encourages all to develop Christian qualities.
  • 1 John – John reiterates what Peter has proclaimed. John is also one who witnessed Christ’s life. Readers are encouraged to walk in the light, live, and one another.  Fear not, perfect love drives out fear.
  • 2 John – John tells readers to love one another, and to be wary of those who do not bring the teaching of Christ. In 3 John, he encourages his friend Gaius to walk in truth and protect himself from evil.
  • Jude – is a half brother of Jesus. He calls on believers to build themselves up and persevere in faith.
  • Revelation – This is the Apostle John’s apocalyptic vision and our end to an extraordinary journey through the bible. Like the rest of the bible, multiple readings and study are necessary to begin to understand its layered and complex message.
