<p>140 turkeys have been donated from a  Locust Hill Golf Club fund raiser and the town of Bolivar to give to clients for Thanksgiving.</p>
<p>We continue to see an average of 30  new clients each month.</p>
<p>Food Pantry Needs:  tooth paste,  tooth brushes, canned fruit, canned meat, canned soups, jelly, pancake syrup,  spaghetti noodles, soup, crackers, peanut butter, rice, apple sauce, sugar,  flour, salt, pork &amp; beans, canned yams, and cranberry sauce.</p>
<p>Clothing Closet Needs:  new  underwear for men, women, and children.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">On October 14, the children and  adults of New  Street packaged shoe box sided containers with gifts  for children through out the world who have experienced poverty, war and nature  disasters.  Our goal was to collect gifts, containers and package the containers  for 30.  We doubled our efforts by providing gifts for 63 boxes!  Diane and Jim  Price, delivered our gift containers to the designated drop off place during the  week of November 16.  We also were able to give $441.00 to help defray the cost  of shipping the gifts.  This $441.00 donation was raised through the Peach  Festival in August and the September Giving Box.   Through “Operation Christmas  Child” we are giving hope to children who have very little.  “Operation  Christmas Child” is a mission project of Samaritan’s Purse.  For more  information on “Operation Christmas Child” and Samaritan’s Purse go to the  Samaritan’s Purse website.</span></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">In the past 4 months, our  congregation has been stepping up to the plate to pay our 2009 apportionments.   When we pay our apportionments we participate in the United Methodist  connection, sharing our gifts in mission and ministry.  For 2009 our goal has  been to pay 65% of our apportioned share which is $12,694.  We have paid (as of  11/15):  $11,015.75.  At the time of this article, <strong><em><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">we need to raise $1,678.75 </span></em></strong>to meet the 2009 apportionment goal by December 31, 2009 or have  a part-time pastor beginning in the 2010 new appointment year.  New Street  leaders and the Finance Committee are confident that we will go the second mile  and want to thank you in advance for your extra mile  giving.</span></span></p>
