Questions for Further Thought:  The earliest followers of Jesus were Jews who were expecting a messiah but not someone like Jesus.  Finish this sentence:  “Looking through the lens of Mark, I see a Jesus who….”   What does it mean to you that Jesus was a suffering messiah?
